Words.
Hi, Friends.
I've had a few requests for a page where readers can look up words or acronyms that I have used through the Ice Era Chronicles. Here is a page of common words you will see sprinkled throughout the series. I've also added some information that might simply be fun for you to know. If at any time you are reading and think "What does that mean again?" Just stop here.

Glossary, Acronyms, Information.
H.S.P.C.: This stands for Human Survival and Population Care. The government organization was established at the end of 1:05 a.m. to help promote the protection of humans after the introduction of Snow Flu and the heavy loss of life.
C.T.O.N.A.: This stands for The Confederate Territories of North America. This is the United States, Mexico, and Canada all together as one place. (We lost to Canada in the Oil Wars...Bummer.)
NEDs: This stands for the Northern Earth Dens. NEDs are all underground Water Bases, subterranean train tunnels, and homes throughout most of the C.T.O.N.A.
HOCs: This stands for H.S.P.C. Organizational Currency. After the creation of the C.T.O.N.A. this was the money that was created to replace the American Dollar, the Peso, and the Canadian currency. Now it's all under one name. (Kind of like the Euro)
Snow Flu: This is a crippling disease that harms more women and children than men. The sick person has severe flu symptoms, and eventually can no longer keep water in their bodies. They basically die of extreme dehydration. The original belief was that this illness was carried in the snow and when the snow melted, the illness became airborne and was then passed around. (Don't worry, Doctor Gears is working on a cure.)
Water Base (WB): These are vast underground housing areas that protect water treatment facilities. (Example: Water Base Cure, or Water Base Azul.)
Harvesters: Men and women who have been either forced off a Water Base for committing a crime or have left a WB and decided to live a more gypsy lifestyle.
The Originals: People who dislike the H.S.P.C. and do not agree with the way they run the water bases, and control the NEDs. Some of the members are religious fanatics who believe in the prophecies of a woman known only as "Mother."
I.E.: Ice Era. This is followed by a number usually.
RCC100: This stands for Rapid Clean and Clot 100. It was perfected on the creators 100th try. It's also known as "Gears Goo." This cream creates a new skin for rapid healing.
Fleam: This is harvester slang. A harvester once saw part of a half broken sign for a "Flea Market" and needless to say the items were less then useful. The word that ended up meaning "useless" and "can't sell" became fleam.
Trains: The main harvester trains are as follows: Sloop, Catboat, Ketch, Clipper, Bilander, Frigate, Windjammer. (These are not the only trains, just the biggest and the most entertaining.)
Harvester's Paradise: Located in Mexicali, this area is run by the harvesters and the H.S.P.C. isn't welcome. Original members and harvesters alike, make sure it's dangerous for H.S.P.C. agents. A lot of Original members hide here and there is lots of human trafficking. (You'll see it in a future book!)
