One Strong Gale (Blurb)

​Blurbs are not my strong suit. I am unsure if there is an author out there who likes creating that bit that goes on the back of a book. If there is a person who enjoys it, maybe I should meet them sometime—not so much to meet them as to stand back and gaze at them with awe. 
One of the questions I ask myself is how much of the story to give away. I was once told that the answer is to figure out what the purpose of the blurb is. That’s a good question.

Ah, the purpose… I am told that the blurb is intended to make readers curious about the book, create suspense, and build expectations about their reading experience.
And maybe that is why I hate writing them so much. I want to do all that with a whole story!!! Not just a few sentences. I am not a wizard.

Anyway, that means I must walk a fine line between providing enough information to intrigue readers and not giving away too much of the story. So, I guess if my story has a lot of twists and turns (which it always does), I should include those because that’s what makes the story interesting. Of course, on the other hand, I’m not supposed to show the outcome of those plot twists because that would be a spoiler.

So here I sit in front of a blank page, wishing I were writing a whole chapter instead of summarizing my book in a few lines.

But here we go!

“Vin” is a drifter hiding from his murderous father. While using his ability to cloak himself and stow away in an all-female facility, he becomes the unexpected tie between two passionate women.
If the three of them are to be together, they all must follow Gale’s lead.
